The team
In the Dayton School of Business (DSB), at Asbury University, we are on a mission to
provide a rigorous, student-centric education that emphasizes collaboration, critical and
innovative thinking, while cultivating integrity and character. We expect our students to
graduate with deep faith and excellent work skills that are integrated and holistic.
The role
We are seeking a full-time, tenure track faculty member (open-rank) whose character,
faith, and professional ability are emblematic of the team’s values and whose passion
aligns with our mission.
You’ll get to…
• Provide leadership and innovation within the Marketing and Sales curriculum.
• Mentor students majoring in Marketing and other DSB disciplines as well as
those minoring in Sales and pursuing the Certificate in Professional Sales.
• Lead the Asbury Center for Professional Selling (AUCPS).
• Coach the nationally recognized Asbury Sales Team.
• Recruit and interact with Corporate Sponsors of the AUCPS.
• Engage in the recruitment of students.
• Work on a 9-month contract.
• Teach 24 credit hours in an academic year.
Who you are
A person who is (1) excited to teach undergraduate and graduate classes in Marketing
and Sales across multiple modalities (in-seat, online, hybrid), (2) innovative in your
teaching and research strategies, (3) skilled in providing one-on-one coaching in sales
skills, (4) collaborative with faculty and staff in the Dayton School of Business and
across the university.
Qualifications
• Doctorate in Marketing or a related field and demonstrated accomplishments in
research and teaching. (Candidates who have earned an MBA or other master’s
degree in a business discipline and are able to validate extensive professional
experience and who have made progress towards or have a plan to complete a
doctorate will be considered).
• Significant work experience in B2B sales and/or sales management.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a terminal degree from an AACSB or
ACBSP institution.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable
accommodations.

The Dayton School of Business is growing and in need of qualified candidates who are

undergraduate and graduate students who are seeking majors in Accounting, Business
Administration, Finance, Marketing, and Sport Management, an MBA with a traditional,
non-profit, or sport management track, and a Master of Science in Accounting. We also
have a partnership with The Salvation Army and non-traditional undergraduates seeking
degrees in business.
